Changes in People’s Living Expenditure
From the above table, we can clearly see that great changes have been taking place in people’s living expenditure over the period from 1988 to 2008. People are spending less and less percentage of their income on food and clothes. The said expenditure has deceased by approximately 17.2%, while that for medical care and transportation and communication has increased quite steadily. The greatest increase in people’s expenditure takes place in luxuries.
There are chiefly two reasons for these changes. Twenty years ago, most people spent a large part of their income on food and clothes, for they simply didn’t have more money for cosmetics. And people of today also paid more attention to general health conditions and their looks as well. They want to improve their quality of life in every way.
The increase in people’s investment in cosmetics actually proves a fact that people’s income is increasing and with this, people’s living standard will be further raised in the future.

Unemployment upon graduation
In recent years，we have witnessed an unfavorable social phenomenon---more and more college students become unemployed as soon as they graduate.
There are three possible reasons to account for this phenomenon. To begin with, the expansion of universities provides more chances for more students to receiving higher education. However, the job market cannot provide enough job vacancies at the same time. What’s more, the situation is even worse when some students unanimously choose the hot majors. In the third place, many students expect highly of themselves---they choose not to work at all if they are not satisfied with the job, the salary, the working conditions, etc.
Therefore, in my view, the solutions to this problem seem more than clear on this occasion. First of all, in order to create more job opportunities, the government should gradually optimize the industrial structure, laying more emphasis on the service industry. Moreover, university authorities should take the job market into consideration while admitting new students. For example, more practical majors which are job-orientated should be designed and introduced to college students to help them in the future job-hunting. Meanwhile, college graduates should lower their expectations while hunting jobs.
Generally speaking, as long as the government, universities and students make joint efforts, a sound solution to this problem will not be far away.

Nowadays, there is a widespread concern over wildlife extinction. As is known to all, due to the environment in which the wild animals are living has changed a lot, many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction. And this issue is attributed to the following points.
Firstly, with the development of cities, the using of insecticide has resulted in serious pollution. Secondly, the wild animals’ living areas have become narrower and narrower. Thirdly, many of the wild animals now are confronted with food crisis. At the same time, human beings are killing off species just for getting their fur, horns, teeth or meat for their own sake.
In order to protect our resources of ecology, people should realize that the loss of any species is at least the loss of source of knowledge and a source of natural beauty. There fore, measures of the following should be taken. On the one hand, pollution standards are made to keep down poisons. On the other hand, killing off certain rare species should be prohibited. Last but not least, national parks should be set up as wild life reserves.
In short, only if we human beings take some drastic measures can wild animals be saved.-
